As most of you know, I was able to attend a photography workshop back in June. I loved it so much. I learned a ton, and I feel like my photography took 10 steps forward. My hope is to attend a workshop every year. It’s so nice to take some time to refresh, learn from other creatives, and have conversations with other people who have similar goals. I’m forever grateful to Dawn Charles and Emily Magers for being so open in sharing their experiences. It can be easy as an artist to be protective of your work. You don’t want someone to “steal your success” or copy what is working for you. But that wasn’t the case at all with them. They want fellow artists to succeed. It’s not a competition. And that is a beautiful thing.
