Have you ever heard of yarn bombing? I didn’t know it was such a thing until my sister-in-law told me about it after describing the bench Cury and I were working on. Just when you think you’ve invented something cool, you find out. . . it’s already been done. Someone was cooler than you quicker than you. ha! That’s okay though. After Ash told me about this yarn bombing, I looked up some photos, and found some pretty creative yarn bombed things.
Isn’t it awesome! The world is full of so much beauty and so many beautiful people with beautiful minds. I love it and am inspired by it. You go, society! 😉
Anyway, here is our yarn bombed project. A pretty little bench for your entry way or dining table. I challenge all you crocheters and knitters out there to fancy up your version of our bench. I unfortunately don’t possess those talents yet.
This DIY is elementary school level, yet Cury and I managed to get the green yarn completely knotted up. After an hour of frustration, I decided that. . I didn’t like green anyway 😉
What I love about this wall hanging is that it doesn’t necessarily have to be a wall hanging, you can hang it on the back of a chair, the side of a shelf, a mantle, pretty much anywhere. . .
Thank you for all the love and support yesterday in liking this blog’s “fan page” Cury would tell you that I couldn’t stop smiling all day. I have been very nervous to make the leap from hobby to profession, but now that it’s done, it feels so good! All thanks to you 😉 Be sure to visit yesterday’s post to enter the giveaway or rack up more points!
Anyway, I promised a project, so a project you’ll get! This past Summer, Cury built a pergola in our back yard. He did an outstanding job. But I (always needing something more unique) wanted to add a couple outdoorsy decorations. Well, patio furniture and decor is pricey. So, he and I decided to put our creative minds together and we came up with something that I absolutely love. It was cheap, easy, and just the unique I was looking for.
